On our way down to the cruise ship Fred told us about a place called the Okefenokee Swamps. We detoured through there, where the mosquitoes are more frightening than the alligators. What I couldn't figure out was where the deer or beautiful flowers came from in the middle of the nasty 'ol swamp. It was a great way to wrap up our first week of our vacation.

I'VE ALWAYS HEARD OF THIS IN MOVIES AND SUCH, I JUST NEVER REALLY THOUGHT ABOUT IT BEING A REAL PLACE, THAT'S FUN.
It is interesting how such beauty can exist in the middle of grossness. I still can't get over how close the alligators are to people.
